Dead Meat was recorded in 2015-2019 and is arguably Granpaps most thought provoking project starting with the album art depicting a young black man trying to avoid the influence of social media and television programs by covering his head in aluminum foil. taken by Des Mirera at concept 21 studios in Wilmington Delaware Tyree began being more hands on with his artwork. And even began selling paintings. Tyree re wires the mind of his audience with the first three tracks completely tossing the expectation of him rapping about money and violence out the window. In Songs like “Gurl” Tyree mocks himself by detailing the lengths he’s willing to go in order to impress a woman. Oddly enough he does it in a way that uplifts women and points out the misogyny in his own music as well in hip hop music.
